The HCPSS Family Portal is an online tool that allows you to monitor
your grade online. Trouble logging intochild's progress in school. It gives you instant access to your child's grades and other information anytime and anywhere you have Internet access. For the website? Contact our front office.2011-2012 school year, the Family Portal will be available to parents/guardians of all middle and high school students. Elementary schools are scheduled to come online in 2012-2013. As a parent/guardian, you can:
View the most current information about your student's academic performance such as grades and quarterly averages.
    See student schedules.
Access daily and class attendance information.

Request optional automatic notification of attendance and grades.
The system was developed and tested with great care to ensure that student information is kept confidential and that only you, and authorized school personnel, can view your child's information. In the near future, you will be able to:
View one parent account for multiple student records.
Review your contact information and submit changes online.

Sixth grade Pre-Algebra GT is an above-grade level advanced math course designed to extend elementary skills and begin to learn algebra concepts that serve as a transition into formal Algebra and Geometry. Students will develop fluency with rational numbers and proportional relationships. Students will learn to think flexibly about relationships among fractions, decimals, and percents and master operations of fractions, decimals, percents, and integers. Students will learn to recognize and generate equivalent expressions and solve single-variable equations and inequalities. Students will investigate and explore mathematical ideas and develop multiple strategies for analyzing complex situations. Students will analyze situations verbally, numerically, graphically, and symbolically. Students will apply mathematical skills and make meaningful connections to life's experiences. It is recommended that any student earning grades of C or below repeat Pre-Algebra the following year.
